Invasion of Llanberis, Day 5 and 6

A cute picture of Pebble, just because :)

On Day 5 I went with my Mum and Sister to a fabric shop in Anglesea

Mum wanted some fabric for a dress, cue a mass debate over which fabrics matched. My Dad and hubby were watching the kids outside for a while but eventually came in and waded in on the debate! Mum ended up picking a lovely autumny fabric which was incidentally the fabric that my hubby also really liked so we ended up getting the same 2 fabrics. I guess Pebble and Mum will be matching again!

Next door there was another craft/ gift type shop which had this amazing sign outside!

They also has a good collection of baskets. My husband teases me for my basket obsession! Looking around the living room right now I can see 12!

We stopped at a RSPB centre by the South Stack Cliffs in Anglesea, which had a cafe for lunch. Nemo ended up with chocolate cake due to hubby's weakness for cake!

We left my parents and sister there and headed for a little cove down the road with a gorgeous beach.

Nemo wanted to paddle, I started by just rolling up his trousers, then took off his trousers before eventually stripping him off entirely :)

I should have just stripped Nemo off straight away (amateur mistake!) as all his clothes were damp so for the rest of the day he modelled his Dad's jumper with a hair band keeping it in place! I think it was adorable!

Nemo and hubby engaging in building an epic sandcastle. Hubby takes sand castle building very seriously and carefully plans his builds. Sometimes he struggles to cope with Poppy and Nemo's 'help' with the building!

My parents and sister joined us later. Unfortanately my sister was unwell but had a good rest on the beach.

Afterwards we popped to a bar/ restaurant place called the oyster catcher for a drink. http://www.oystercatcheranglesey.co.uk/photos.shtml
If you're ever in the area you should definitely go here it's amazing! The bar downstairs had all this cool decoration including table and chairs in a sandpit!

Me, my husband and Dad all ordered hot chocolates and we ordered milk for Nemo. When the hot chocolates arrived Pebble proceeded to eat almost all of my Dad's marshmallows from the top. Seeing Nemo's face my Mum decided to have a Grandma intervention and order Nemo a hot chocolate instead of milk! Its fair to say Nemo very much enjoyed his hot chocolate :)

Upstairs there are beach huts with heaters to sit in! How cool!

We decided then that we were going to return to have chips for lunch the next day!

Day 6 and our last day on holiday. In the morning me and my Mum went for a swim in the lake at Llanberis. This was originally my sisters idea but still unwell she couldn't come with us -convinient? :-p Me and mum jumped in and yes it was very cold- even with wetsuits on!

It was quite hard to swim with the wetsuit on however after a few minutes it did mean that we were comfortable with the temperature of the water. Though my hands and feet went completely numb. After coming out I realised I'd stretched the top of my foot on the rocks and I hadn't even felt it.

After this me, hubby and the kids went on the lake train ride with my brother, his wife and the twins. It had beautiful views and like the rest of the holiday we had amazing weather.

Poppy could come too. She didn't like being on the floor and crawled under the seats to visit a couple at the end of the carriage! She came back and stayed when she was promoted to a seat! Note the cup of tea to warm me up!
Im wrapped up in lots of layers as I was a bit cold from my dip in the lake!

After the train ride we went to have some chips in the Oyster Catcher. My parents, brother his wife and sister joined us there.
This time we got a beach hut :)

Nemo set about putting stones from the plant pots into each space. It looked quite artistic!

After chips we headed to llanddwyn beach.
Thought I'd be artistic!!

We headed back and had a final meal together before going home the next day.

We were so lucky with the weather and to be fair Llanberis and Anglesea had more to offer then I had realised. May well go back again I think.
